Kaes finished directing studies at Film University Babelsberg in 2018 with the feature film "Devotion" which premiered at Sāo Paulo Film Festival. He shot documentaries, fiction and commercials in Mexico, Argentina and Germany. 
 
He currently works between Berlin and Rio de Janeiro where his current project is to be shot in 2025.
